Doctor Tyler Luthringer
Dr. Tyler W. Luthringer is the founder and owner of Live Oak County Veterinary Services. He was born and raised in Three Rivers, Texas, and is married to Lauren Luthringer. He began his veterinary career in 2012 after graduating from Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine. After earning his doctorate, Dr. Tyler worked at various mixed-animal practices throughout Texas before opening his own clinic in his hometown in 2015. Dr. Tyler practices large and small animal medicine, with a special interest in beef cattle medicine.
Doctor Kate Jimerson
Dr. Kate Jimerson is originally from George West where she grew up and graduated high school. She attended Texas A&M University where she received her Bachelors degree in Animal Science. She was accepted into Texas A&M’s College of Veterinary Medicine where she graduated in May 2021. Dr. Jimerson moved back to south Texas and married her husband, Will Hussey. They welcomed their first baby boy Jameson in May of 2025. She enjoys working with both small and large animals. Dr. Jimerson is excited to start meeting you and your pets!
Your Office Manager/Technician
I’m originally from Bellville, Texas, but have called South Texas home since 2007. I’ve worked in the veterinary field since high school and have always loved this profession and the animals we care for.
Live Oak County Veterinary Services has been part of my life since 2017, when I started as one of the practice’s first technicians. I have been blessed to watch this beautiful practice grow from a three-room building into what it is today. I enjoy working alongside my husband, Tyler Luthringer everyday, and our wonderful team. As the hospital manager I do my best to keep the clinic running smoothly. I still love stepping in as a technician whenever needed and getting back to the reason it all started for me. Caring for and nursing animals back to health has always been, and will continue to be, a passion in my life.
Outside of the clinic, I enjoy spending time with my husband and my three beautiful girls, Jenna, Ava, and Emma. I also love reading a good book, enjoying an occasional lazy day, and keeping God first in our lives.

Hi there! My name is Amanda Zamzow. I have been married to my husband, Mark, for 8 years. Together we have 4 great kids and 8 grandchildren that we adore. I have been a licensed massage therapist for 8 years. I started working here at LOCVS in October of 2024. I enjoy working with clients and seeing all the sweet animals each and everyday.

Hi, I'm McKenzie Retzloff, a dedicated veterinary technician and have been at LOCVS. since May of 2022. I find immense joy in being part of the process that helps our furry patients bounce back to their normal, healthy selves. I am committed to providing the best care possible, ensuring that every animal receives the attention and treatment they deserve. Outside of work, I cherish spending quality time with my beautiful daughter Lainey along with my family and friends. Additionally, I am currently pursuing my goal of becoming a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) through ongoing education, further enhancing my ability to provide exceptional care to our animal companions. I am grateful for the opportunity to be a part of the compassionate team at LOCVS, and I look forward to meeting and caring for your beloved pets.

My name is Jo Enna (Joey) Cortez, I am the mother of three beautiful children, Kali Kenzie and Kegan. I grew up around animals and developed a love for them so working here was right up my ally. I have three dogs, Lucy, Kaiser, and Maggie, and two cats, Oliver and River. I have worked at LOVCS Clinic for over two years, and it has been a blast learning new things every day. In my spare time I love chasing my kids around to their sporting events, being outdoors and quiet time at home.
